Echoes from the heart: In the name of their 'god'

She set out to serve her fatherland
Laden with child…pain and discomfort she endured
Fighting for a nation’s dream – democracy
Till they came thundering
Almajiris…uneducated, incited and hungry bastards
Chanting words of Allah...a word they surely do not understand
Knives and clubs in hand
Slitting her throat in successive swipes
Carving her bulging stomach till the unborn comes gushing out
For them, a necessary sacrifice for the glory of their ‘god’

They said it was safe
They promised to protect
For once he chose to look past their incessant greed and believe
Men so selfish…they forget what duty and honor means
Until the fireworks went off
In pain his eyes endured this horrible movie clip
Limbs and torsos shredded
His life’s work….his perseverance….his patience
His love….his wife….his kids
Taken from him without a moment’s hesitation
All for the glory of their ‘god’

They call themselves nationalists
Elder statesmen…scoffs…more like deluded and poisonous extremists
Men with hate and low intelligence
Rousing an even more uneducated nation to violence at their failures
Making inflammatory remarks instead of spreading peace
Openly supporting terrorism and advocating for their protection
Holding this nation to ransom yet they claim to want to save it
The Rufs’ and Haris’
Hatching a grand plan to force the nation into religious slavery
All for the glory of their ‘god’

They say it is a religion of peace and tolerance
I’ll show you ingrates what tolerance is
Offering safety to your brothers in our homes while you decapitate ours
Leaving your place of worship standing while you burn down ours
Treating you with respect while you dehumanize us
Respecting your beliefs while you go witch-hunting ours
Then again, all this you do for the glory of your ‘god’

How long do you think this will continue?
For surely at some point….the commandment of love would fade away
Giving way to a hate beyond the dimensions of love
This forced marriage shall fall apart
The hunter metamorphosing into the game
In that moment, remember ye all you have done
For your sins shall never go unpunished
In our lifetime or those of your future generations!
